Returns and refunds

New products
Eligible new products may be returned within 14 days after delivery. Books must be unread and returned in their original condition, without writing, creases, stains, damage, or other signs of use. Other new products must be unused and in their original packaging.

Proof of purchase is required. Contact hello@maddybooks.com before mailing a return to receive return instructions. Do not send returns directly to the manufacturer or fulfillment partner.

Used and pre-owned books
Used and pre-owned books are final sale and are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

Damaged, defective, incorrect, or misdescribed items
Contact hello@maddybooks.com promptly with your order number, a description of the problem, and photographs where applicable. Final-sale restrictions do not affect applicable rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods.

Return shipping
Customers are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind returns. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except where required by law. For problems caused by an incorrect, defective, or damaged order, contact us for instructions before purchasing return postage.

Refunds
We inspect returned products and notify you whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the credit.
